Setup Checklist
Use this checklist when you first install Fit Check or when you are preparing a major storefront refresh. Work from global settings to templates, then sections, then commerce flows.
Recommended Order
- Install the themeInstall Fit Check from the Shopify Theme Store when available, or upload a support-provided package, then keep edits in a draft theme until review is complete.
- Set global brand defaultsAdd logos, the Color palette, typography, button tiers, inputs, badges, drawer style, search behavior, cart type, and swatch behavior.
- Review header and footerAssign navigation menus, decide between the floating island and traditional header, add localization selectors if needed, and check footer menus and policies.
- Configure product templatesReview media gallery, variant picker, price, quantity, size guide, selling plans, pickup availability, recommendations, and buy buttons.
- Configure collection and searchCheck product-card blocks, quick add, filters, sorting, swatches, search mode, search drawer, and mobile layouts.
- Build visual shopping sectionsAdd Featured product, image/video product links, Fit Check Explorer, carousel product links, rich text, cards, FAQ, and promotional sections.
- Add app blocksUse Shopify app blocks where possible. Test injected apps on a draft theme before publishing if the app changes product forms, cart behavior, or layout.
- Preview and publishPreview desktop and mobile, submit test searches, add products to cart, check accelerated checkout buttons, test forms, and only then publish.

Before Publishing
- Open the home, product, collection, search, cart, blog, article, contact, password, and gift-card templates in the theme editor.
- Confirm product images, collection images, page copy, navigation menus, social links, policy links, and localization options are store-specific.
- Test at least one product with multiple variants, one sold-out variant, one sale price, one product with a size guide, and one product with product recommendations.
- Test search, quick add, cart drawer or cart page, discount code display, cart notes, newsletter signup, and contact form behavior.
- Check mobile preview for header, footer, product media, product cards, drawers, modals, and any shoppable media sections.
