Video Block
Use Video for campaign footage, product demonstrations, editorial motion, embedded YouTube or Vimeo content, and social video embeds from TikTok or Instagram.
Setup Order
- Choose the video sourceUse uploaded Shopify video when you own the file, external video for YouTube or Vimeo, or social video when the content lives on TikTok or Instagram.
- Set playback behaviorChoose autoplay, sound, controls, and loop intentionally. Autoplay video should usually stay muted.
- Add a cover imageUse a cover image when the first frame is weak, autoplay is off, or the video may load after surrounding content.
- Configure mobile video when neededAdd a mobile-specific source when the desktop video crop, pacing, or subject placement does not work on phones.
- Review sizing and bordersSet custom width, mobile width, aspect ratio, border, radius, and padding after previewing the real video.

Playback Guidance
Avoid surprising customers with sound. Use visible controls when customers need to pause, scrub, or replay meaningful content. If product links or text overlays appear near the video, confirm they do not block native controls.
